After two full weeks of intense competition, our Top 5 presented their Final Pitch at PJLA on Friday, April 13th to a packed theatre. To add to the fight, they were also challenged by a pitch from local advertising agency, Lucideas.
Judges include Tony Savarimuthu, Harmander Singh, Chan Seow Vern, and Chew Sue Ann.
It was very difficult to judge, since all the ideas were so good. But this is a competition, and there must be a winner. We are glad to announce that the grand prize winner for The Adprentice April 2012 goes to Wesley Murang Jon, and his Creative Juice idea. Wesley takes home a full scholarship to IACT College and RM20,000 in cash.
CONGRATULATIONS to all our Top 5, who each earn themselves a scholarship to study at IACT College.
See you at college soon!
20 young teens grab the opportunity to show off their creativity and be rewarded. However, only ONE will win RM 20,000 in cash and a full scholarship at IACT College.
Presenting......THE TOP 5!
Having proven themselves to be a cut above the rest, watch out as Charlie's, Christabelle, Faiz, Kai Yen and Wesley go against Lucideas in an epic battle of ideas.
One of these will go home with a FULL scholarship to IACT College and RM20,000 in cash. Who will it be?
Host: EPIC Collaborative
IDEA: Captain Malaysia’s Flash Army
WINNERS: Christabelle, Gerard, Rina, Wesley
To bring awareness to the Epic Army and drive people to their website, the team came up with a new face for the Epic Army, Captain Malaysia. During a 4 week campaign, he and his flash mob army would publicly perform good deeds around the community each weekend.
After each good deed, the mob army would recruit those they performed good deeds for and grow the army over the month and gain more and more attention over time.
Host: SONY
IDEA: 'Flash Mob Users'
WINNERS: Abigail, Kai Yen, Marsha, Mohd Faiz
To expose consumers to the Sony Tablet S, the team positioned flash mobs on trains heading from all directions to KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur. During the trip, this crowd would be using the various features of the Tablet (camera, Playstation games and music player) and drawing attention to themselves.
Once all the trains arrived to KL Sentral, the flash mob would hold all their tablets together to make one big screen, which would play a promo video highlighting all the Tablet’s features and a booth would be revealed where people could use the Tablet themselves.
Host: Rexona
IDEA: 'Mr and Mrs Confidence'
WINNERS: Charlie, Christabelle, Tze Ken, Ying Ning
The team's idea to gain market share was to create a reality TV show to find the epitome of the Rexona brand; someone who is sporty, daring, bold and confident. That person would win a big prize and then go on to star in Rexona’s TV commercials and other communications.
Host: Doof Industries
IDEA: 'What's your Doof face?'
Charlie's idea was based around the face people make when they fall into a Doof bean bag chair. Consumers were encouraged to submit photos of their ‘Doof Face’ and get as many likes on Facebook as they can. Those who get the most likes get a free Doof bean bag.
After many nights spent gulping down more coffee than should be legally allowed, each applicant has been reviewed and the decisions have been made. While there were many great submissions from Adprentice applicants, only 20 can go on to the next chapter of this competition.
Congratulations to those who made the cut. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
If you submission was not successful, you can still experience all the action by keeping up-to-date on this website.
Thank you for your participation, perhaps we will see you again next season!
