IACT College adopts a holistic teaching methodology to ensure that students gain from both theoretical as well as the practical aspects of advertising and communications to prepare them for the real working life. This is made possible through partnerships with the industry, which include media agencies, media owners, brand owners and industry professionals. Through the industry, students are exposed to participating in real-life projects and both local and international competitions so that they can gain experience and build their own portfolio for the future.
Besides that, IACT College regularly invites industry professionals to share their knowledge and experience with IACT students. Whether it is "café latte" session, a panel or lecture style, students are able to hear the latest information from professionals so that they are able to compete in the real world. Although this is a staple of the IACT's curriculum, students are also brought out of the classroom on field trips to the press, TV stations, production houses, and agencies to get a feel of the real working world.
Leveraging on the industry's partnership, IACT college students also receive a three-month practical work training (internship) with one of the many companies that partner with IACT. Through main industry partners such as Pos Ad Group, MAA, 4As and PJ Live Arts, future employers are confident to look towards IACT College as a main supplier of job-ready graduates, who are not only knowledgeable in their field, but multi-skilled as well.

"The type of industry exposure IACT College provides its students bodes well for the industry's future..."
The Malaysia Effie Awards aim to educate and share insights on the most effective marketing communications campaign. In the 2010 edition, IACT College assisted us on the Judging Day and even hosted lectures on Effie winning case studies. This type of exposure for its students bodes well for the industry’s future as upcoming professionals can better understand the benchmarks required to be successful and globally competitive.
