IACT College celebrates 1 malAysia through graphic, art and film!
When IACT College was offered the opportunity to partner with KITA Musical, the students and lecturers leapt at the chance to showcase their works through Graphics, Art and Film exhibition. In conjunction with the celebration of our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak’s one year anniversary in the office and the celebration of a multi-cultural and diverse nation, IACT College will be exhibiting creative works on a theme loosely based on 1 Malaysia through various forms at Istana Budaya, during the stage performance entitled KITA Musical, organised by Xi Yue Art & Culture.
KITA Musical, a story of multi-cultural friendships, love and unity set in the early 1970s in a little town called Teluk Intan, is a musical spearheaded by the Ministry of Information, Communication & Culture, National Unity and Integration Department – Prime Minister’s Department; organised in collaboration with Xiyue Art & Culture, will be held at Istana Budaya from 17th June to 27th June.
IACT College, a specialist college in creative communication, will be mobilising students from all fields of study, namely broadcasting, graphic design, creative multimedia, advertising & marketing communications and mass communication to produce an extensive exhibition works at the Istana Budaya for all Malaysian people to reflect, celebrate and interact on a creative platform, the uniqueness of Malaysia as a diverse and multi-cultural nation.
Mr. Lee Kok Leong, principal of IACT College believes that young people today are very astute with what is going on in the world. They seek authenticity and integrity and they can be idealistic. This exhibition will serve as a platform for our young people to communicate multi-culturalism in a healthy way. Our young people can be influencers and change agents of the world today.
