IACT College Celebrates Industry Excellence Through the 2026 Master & Legacies Conferment

30 July 2026 – IACT College celebrated the inaugural Master Mentor & Legacies Conferment, recognising distinguished industry leaders and accomplished alumni whose expertise continues to shape the creative communications landscape. More than recognition of professional excellence, the initiative strengthens IACT College’s commitment to industry-integrated education by connecting students directly with practitioners who are redefining the future of media, marketing, communications, filmmaking, digital content and emerging technologies.

The Master Mentors represent an extraordinary breadth of industry expertise. Strategic communications veteran Tuan Syed Mohammed Idid brings over 38 years of experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement and AI-enabled communications, championing stronger collaboration between academia and industry. IACT College also honoured ASEAN media and technology leader Datuk Michael Chan contributes decades of leadership across broadcasting, telecommunications, AI and digital transformation, providing students with valuable perspectives on innovation and entrepreneurship.

To be aligned with the digital marketing evolution IACT College has awarded a digital entrepreneur Ariel Koh, who is the founder of Malaysia Food and Travel, demonstrates how creative storytelling and social media can empower businesses and communities in the digital economy. Also on board is the award-winning filmmaker Reuben Kang, this provides bridges between industry and education through commercial filmmaking, storytelling and AI-driven content creation, while Arshad Ahamed who is the Regional Head of Strategy, Data & Insights at GrowthOps Asia, will able to equips students with his insights on strategic thinking and data-driven marketing capabilities demanded by today’s creative industries.

IACT College also has conferred IACT Legacy recipients exemplifying the success of IACT graduates who have transformed classroom learning into impactful careers growth. Irwin Oon, an IACT Diploma in Mass Communication alumnus and now Head of Operations at Imagineers Film, demonstrates how operational excellence and creative production leadership can drive industry success. Alvin Wee, whose a multidisciplinary Multimedia Designer and Producer, represents the new generation of creative professionals who combine storytelling, design and artificial intelligence to deliver innovative digital experiences.

Together, these Masters Mentors and Legacies will enrich IACT College’s academic ecosystem through mentorship, guest lectures, curriculum collaboration, industry projects and networking opportunities. Their collective knowledge will expose students to real-world challenges, emerging technologies and evolving creative practices, ensuring graduates develop not only technical competencies but also critical thinking, innovation and professional resilience.
